We fully understand the varying levels of cold storage facilities and the different design requirements needed. Coolers 32 to 55 degrees or blast freezers -20 to -50 degrees have similarities but are not the same.

Superior understands that the primary concern for proper roof design of a cold storage building is the significant vapor drive that occurs predominantly from the warmer exterior towards the colder interior.

That directly leads to two critical aspects of the roof design:

• Proper placement of a vapor retarder to manage the vapor drive
• Proper detailing to prevent air infiltration or exfiltration at enclosure transitions and penetrations.

 *Additionally, the reduction or elimination of thermal bridges is important because of the critical need for a highly effective thermal boundaries.
